Adam started his career in corporate finance at JP Morgan in the Investment Banking division in NYC in 2001 and later moved into publishing High Yield Research covering Homebuilding, Lodging and Building Materials. In 2006, he joined Morgan Stanley’s London Credit Trading desk as a Vice President and Senior Research Analyst covering Telecom, Media and Technology, where he focused on capital structure arbitrage. He subsequently joined hedge fund Blue Mountain Capital ($22bn AUM) as a Senior Research Analyst within the Retail, Luxury, Metals & Mining and Industrials sectors, investing across capital structures.

In 2014, Adam co-founded an investment advisory firm with Monica Monajem focusing on sustainability within natural resources and alternative materials, within the Emerging Markets. In early 2019, he founded MEDAHUMAN, a functional wellness drinks FMCG company. From start-up to rapid scale up, MEDAHUMAN is today one of the UK’s leading functional wellness drinks brands.

In his early career, Chris worked at several major institutions including CIBC World Markets, Société Générale Barr Devlin, Antarctica Asset Management and ING Investment Management. In 2010, he joined SAIL Advisors (the family office of the founder of Duty-Free Shoppers) as the Head of Research for Tactical Trading and Relative Value Strategies. He later joined Cliffwater LLC as Managing Director covering global macro and relative value strategies on the hedge fund research team. Most recently, Chris was the CIO of Digital Assets at Forest Road, where he oversaw a digital assets-focused venture capital fund of funds.

Dee is a multi-lingual talent expert, with 30 years’ experience in human capital, working in publicly listed and privately held companies. She is expert in guiding the delivery of results-driven business critical and human capital transformations. Dee formerly worked in executive search at Korn Ferry / Whitehead Mann, in the Financial Services practice for boards of global banks, asset managers and private equity firms.  She subsequently founded an executive coaching and human capital advisory firm working with senior leadership teams in major institutions and established founder entrepreneurs.

Dee is a highly regarded specialist in assessing real entrepreneurial potential and determining the ability of founders to operate and excel under challenging conditions, take and navigate major risk and consistently demonstrate resilience. She has worked extensively with founders, their teams and more widely with investment teams, developing, coaching and enabling them to grow as leaders and optimise their mental agility and performance.

Dee has operated in the UK and European entrepreneurial ecosystem for many years and is also the co-founder of Centre For Entrepreneurs, the UK’s leading entrepreneurship foundation, which works to make the UK more entrepreneurial by developing the leaders of the future. Dee joined Amitis Group in 2018 as the People Partner.

Dominic is a seasoned accountant who started his career in the finance function at IMG. He subsequently moved to Marv Studios as a senior member of the finance team, where he was involved in structuring several large-budget global film releases, including the Kingsman franchise, Rocketman, Eddie The Eagle and the forthcoming title, Argylle. Alongside his role in film production, he was responsible for overseeing and running the finance function for the private family office of the founders.

Dwayne started his career at Barclays in the global consumer retail group of the Investment Banking division, where he worked on several large-cap transactions in M&A and capital raising, totalling over $10Bn. He then joined TikTok, where he was an early member of the European Monetization Strategy team, focusing on launching and scaling TikTok’s e-commerce platform in the European markets. Subsequently Dwayne joined a London-based global generalist venture and growth fund as an investment associate, responsible for deal sourcing, screening and all aspects of due diligence and financial analysis across regions and verticals.

Edith started her career as a legal counsel at the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce of Great Britain, where she assisted European start-ups to set up their businesses in the UK, particularly in relation to the new Brexit regulations. Edith joined the Amitis Group as an executive assistant to Monica Monajem in 2021. Edith has a bachelor’s degree in European law from Maastricht University, a master’s degree in International Business and Corporate Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a master’s degree in International Wealth Management from ESCP Europe. She is fluent in French, English, Swedish and Spanish.

Forum started her career with Deloitte in statutory audit post qualifying as a chartered accountant in India. She was also associated with companies like Bloomberg Quint as a Senior Research Analyst and headed financial due diligence and credit for the fintech start-up Grip as a Senior Manager-Credit. She subsequently moved to the UK and was working as an Assistant Manager with Norlake Hospitality where she handled accounting and group reporting.

Senior Advisors

The Amitis senior advisors are world renowned pioneers in their fields.

Professor David Nutt is the Edmond J. Safra Professor of Neuropsychopharmacology and Director of the Neuropsychopharmacology Unit in the Division of Brain Sciences at Imperial College London, where he uses a range of brain imaging techniques to explore the causes of addiction and other psychiatric disorders and to search for new treatments.

He is a Fellow of the the Royal Colleges of Physicians and of Psychiatrists and a Fellow of the  Academy of Medical Sciences. David is  Chair of DrugScience (formerly the Independent Scientific Committee on Drugs) and President of the European Brain Council.  He is also the UK Director of the European Certificate and Masters in Affective Disorders Courses and a member of the International Centre for Science in Drug Policy. He is a former President of the European Brain Council, the British Association of Psychopharmacology, the British Neuroscience Association and the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology and was previously President of the European College of Neuropsycho-pharmacology (ECNP), the British Neuroscience Association (BNA) and the British Association of Psychopharmacology (BAP).

Christian’s career spans over thirty years in the financial services sector.  Following earlier roles in investment banking, he worked at JP Morgan in London as Country Head Equities Sales for Switzerland and subsequently as Head of Research Marketing for Europe. He then joined Goldman Sachs Zurich to lead their Swiss representative office and headed Equity and Equity Derivative Sales.

Christian was later appointed CEO of SIX Swiss Exchange, where he also acted as Vice Chairman of Europe’s largest index firm STOXX and became President of FESE, the Federation of European Securities Exchanges. He is currently CEO of Helveteq, an issuer of ESG-transparent investment products including ETPs, and owner of financial consulting firm Mainstreet. Christian holds several board roles in the financial services and fintech sectors including Bank Dreyfus, Banque Bonhôte and CS Investment Partners. 

Chris’s career over almost twenty years, spanning academia and industry, has been at the intersection of cutting-edge technologies and environmental science focusing on sustainable solutions. Utilising his background in satellites, AI, big data, blockchain, earth observation and applied climatology with his current PhD research in agrifood, in 2021 Chris founded Agribot. Agribot specialises in using AI to combine satellite and bespoke climate models to create agricultural intelligence, focusing on crop monitoring and environmental impact assessment. The platform empowers landowners, growers, governments, NGOs and other supply chain stakeholders to facilitate better management of natural resources, land assignation and climate-related planning. Previously, Chris has founded or acted as a hands-on CEO/CTO for a series of technology businesses.

Chris is currently completing a fully NERC funded PhD in Environment and Agrifood whilst productising the research output which received a substantial Innovate UK grant.
